10 Books for a Healthy Relationship Every Couple Should Read

As you know, our everyday goal is to bring an additional value to your (and your partner’s) lives – not only with our Magnetic Couples Bracelets and Necklaces but also with our inspiring and helpful blogs with tips and tricks for your relationships.

Let’s be honest, there is always a room for improvement!:) I don’t know about you, but me and Tomash LOVE reading and learning with purpose of self-growth and becoming best versions of ourselves. Of course this results in our overall good feeling and therefore also in our relationship.  

There are many sources/books out there for couples who want to work on their relationship (and we salute you if you’re one of them!:) We’ve done a little digging for you and handpicked 10 best books that will help you learn new ways to examine and strengthen your bond, love and relationship.

 

1. “The Five Love Languages: The Secret to Love that Lasts”

I’ve read this book 7 years ago and it never gets old! This book by Dr. Gary Chapman looks at 5 love languages through which we communicate our love for our partner: Words of Affirmation, Quality Time, Receiving Gifts, Acts of Service and Physical Touch. If you two speak different love languages and you are not aware of it, it may very well be the reason for your conflicts, feelings of not being loved and miscommunication. This book contains exercises for couples, questionnaires and a journal that can do wonders!

If improving your communication, coping with issues and resolving conflicts in a healthy way is what you seek, then this books is for you. You will learn how to accept your partner’s feelings and emotions without the need of judgement and together you will be able to decide what is important to you as a couple, putting the learned skills into practice.

 3. “Deal Breakers: When to Work on a Relationship and When to Walk Away”

This books helps you examine the patterns of your behavior in relationships – people you choose, reactions you repeat and what your deal breakers are. It also discusses emotionally “unhealthy” men – you will learn how to set boundaries and stick to them. And that’s the key to a healthy relationship. What an amazing read!

    What breaks down and ruins relationships? What makes relationship strong? What makes certain relationships last? Why certain relationships are romantic? This books goes deep into dysfunctional relationships and helps you to remove toxic people from your life. This then enables you to have relationships that will give you peace and sense of fulfillment. Mai Conrad really wants you to have stronger and healthier bonds than you ever had and she is doing a great job in this book!

She explains how you can heal and trust each other again and if you both truly want to make it work, there is always hope.

    8. “Love, Sex and Staying Warm: Creating a Vital Relationship”

    Neil Rosenthal claims that his book helps couples to “Reignite your passion, strengthen your relationship and keep the romance alive.” Well, don’t we all want that? In this book you will learn how to avoid slowly fracture and come apart over the years, strengthen your bond and notice warning signs before they become major issues. You will find quizzes and practical tips that will help you examine the current state of your relationship – and, of course, make it better than ever!

    10. “Too Good to Leave, Too Bad to Stay: A Step-by-Step Guide to Help You Decide Whether to Stay In or Get Out of Your Relationship”

    Taking a step back and looking at your relationship in a practical manner is always a good idea.     Did you know it literally takes a few minutes per day to connect with your partner and make them feel loved? Thanks to this book that uses successful couples as an inspiration for all of us you will learn the little love boosters for a happy marriage. This books comes with an amazing checklist that will help you to keep track of what you have and have not done for your partner. Oh, it also comes with an audio book for your car or train rides!

     

    With the help of these awesome books, most couples genuinely do strengthen their relationship/marriage to a state they have not experienced in a LONG TIME.
